Paul R. Williams Project Blog
This is where you come in.
The primary purpose of the Paul R. Williams Project is to expand knowledge about the architect and his career. This blog is intended to help accomplish that goal in several ways by:
- Bringing together scholars and others interested in Paul R. Williams’ buildings and professional life to share questions and answers and discussion of issues related to his career;
- Providing a forum for discussion of aspects of his career in relation to architecture and social issues of the time;
- Inviting people throughout the nation and beyond to share information that will add to the body of information about his buildings and professional life;
- Inviting everyone to share stories and memories related to Paul R. Williams.
Because very few of the documents from his practice survive, correspondence, contracts and other data required to build a comprehensive picture of his career must be compiled piece by piece from external sources. These may include clients’ letters, records, plans, and other materials related to specific projects. Private, commercial, institutional and public repositories may hold some of this data, but much of it may be discovered by accident by individuals who are looking for something else
The blog is a place to alert everyone about discoveries, hunches, queries or personal stories about Paul R. Williams.
