PRW Fellows: I am proud of the work you have done in the Paul R Williams Project. Thank you for sharing your curriculum ideas on this website. For instance, now that you have taught your unit, what worked well? What would you do differently? What insights can you share with others?
I recently visited Rebekah Laurenzi’s classroom to see her 5th Grade student architecture presentations. They worked in groups redesigning various aspects of their own school and creating models using found objects, paint and craft materials. They demonstrated knowledge of Paul R. Williams and seemed highly motivated in these products. Lauenzi’s classroom was equipped with a monitor displaying the Paul R. Williams Project website. Each student spoke about the experience of working on the project and what they had learned. It was enlightening for me to see how one exemplary art educator implemented last years summer institute and utilized this website.
